Convert Raw To Ntfs Vista

Hi Gopikrishna, This error message could occur due to driver errors on the computer. Pelase assist me with the following information related to this issue: 1) How many drives have you setup on the computer? 2) Did you upgrade to Windows 7 from an operating system? If yes, did you enable Bit locker drive encryption on the previous operating system?

3) Did you use the parameters such as /f or /r while running check disk within Windows? The basic or dynamic disk is not accessible and might have experienced hardware failure, corruption, or I/O errors. The disk's copy of the system's disk configuration database might be corrupted. An error icon appears on disks that display the Unreadable status. Disks might also display the Unreadable status while they are spinning up or when Disk Management is rescanning all of the disks on the system. In some cases, an unreadable disk has failed and is not recoverable. For dynamic disks, the Unreadable status usually results from corruption or I/O errors on part of the disk, rather than failure of the entire disk.

To troubleshoot the issue, I would suggest you to Rescan the disks or restart the computer to see if the disk status changes. Follow the methods: Method 1: Follow the steps to run the scan: a) Press Windows and R key together and type “ compmgmt.msc”. Hit Enter to open Computer Management. B) In the console tree, click Computer Management (Local), click Storage, and then click Disk Management. C) Select the drive and click Action.

Click Rescan Disks. Important: Data available on bad sectors might be lost when chkdsk tries to repair your hard disc. Restart the computer and check if that fixes the issue. If not, proceed to the next method. Method 2: Let’s run the rescan the disk using the Diskpart tool.

Follow the steps: a) Click on Start menu and type “cmd”. Right click on Command Prompt and select “ Run as administrator”. B) Type the following commands and hit Enter after each: Diskpart Rescan Important: Data available on bad sectors might be lost when chkdsk tries to repair your hard disc. After running the tool, restart the computer and see if it has fixed the issue. If not, go to the next method. Method 3: I would suggest you to run check disk using system recovery options with /f and /r parameters.

Follow the steps: Step 1: Refer to the link to access System recovery options in Windows 7: Step 2: After you navaigaate to the recovery options, follow the steps: a) Connect an external drive (a hard drive or USB flash drive ). What worked for me was that I opened cod somehow by many ways I will list below then I typed regedit then I choosed from the tool bar to expert file or import file. Then from the new opened windows I made sure to make on the portion that say open file type or something like that I made sure to change it to all files so it shows me all the files in the system.

I located the hard disk letter then I had right cluck by the mouse on it then I formatted it into different type. It should be formatted as ntfs but in my case it showed error so I formatted it ad different type then I formatted it again right away into ntfs.

The key is to succeed in formatting the hard drive into any type then back to ntfs. After that restart your computer and run the installation process and hopefully it will work this time Best at way for me to open cmd is by clicking on shift and f9 or maybe f10 together, and I usually go to advance repair options and just choose any opetion then click on shift + F9.
